Wonderful Mourning Hair ring with all of the hair nicely still intact!

There is a lovely crest or shield where one usually engraved the initials of the loved one...but this one is clean! You can engrave initials if you like or just leave it...it is up to you.

CONDITION: The inlaid hair is in good condition...the shield has a tiny bend in the top left hand corner. The gold looks most like the picture with the ring on my finger.

English ring that is fully Hallmarked for LONDON, Date letter lower case 'g' in tight calligraphy for year 1862, 9 Karat Gold

Ring Size 5.75 - Can't be re-sized since the haor goes all around the band

Crest is 7mm (at the top point to the bottom point)6mm at its widest point
Band Width is 4.5mm

Weight 2.1 Grams

Please take ring off before washing hands, as you don't want soap to build up in the hair braid. Also, moths LOVE the glue that they used to keep the hair in place and they could eat it, so store the ring in a ring box or bag if not wearing it for awhile.
