An amazing religious piece....a beautiful wooden Oak shadow box with a chalk ware Mary and Jesus behind reverse painted glass. The details are amazing.

Beneath the chalk ware figures is a framed last supper image which is a door to a compartment. The compartment contains all the ingredients that a Holy person would need for last rites, prayer, communion etc.

There are two envelopes, one containing chalk and the other containing a red granular substance. Two Holy water bottles...one glass and one plastic, a ribbon with a medal, two ornate brass candlestick holders, a monogramed communion plate, cotton balls and a few handkerchiefs. The glass bottle is quite lovely....

The inside of the compartment is lined in a marbleized print paper and the inside of the door has a paper which has printed on it Viaticum. The back of the box is covered in brown paper and has the original hanging wire.

Wonderful vintage condition. The only issues are that the last rite image appears to be a bit faded and the compartment door once had two brass chains to support it and now one is missing.

About 24" high by 13 1/2" wide and almost 4" deep.

This piece is heavy and fragile which will require extra cushioning. The shipping fee will vary depending on your zone. I have added an approximate shipping fee and will adjust it accordingly once purchase is made. Of course feel free to inquire in advance. Thanks~
