Primrose was very persnickety for me to grow, and so here, too, she is demure and lovely but also (I think) a little persnickety.

Part of my Flower Girls series created this Spring/Summer, these paintings hope to capture the elegance and liveliness of blooming things. They are inspired by my own garden and portraits from the 1930's and 1940's, as each variety of flower is "embodied" by a girl or lady, sitting for their portrait.

Particulars:
-This painting measures 11"x14"x1"
-It is rendered in acrylic on a cradled wooden panel with a depth of 1". The panel's edges are painted.
-These panels are ready to hang on a single nail, or framed if you wish

Original Painting : Primrose
