This elegant covered vegetable bowl belonged to a dear friend. The maker is Heinrich, H & Co. Bavaria, Germany . It is white porcelain decorated with gold trim and delicate pink roses with green leaves and gray accents. I believe this is the Marquis pattern.

We are also selling a platter with the same pattern. You can see the platter here:

Please note there are two blemishes - one on the outside of the bowl (photo #3) and one on the inside of the bowl (photo #4). Both of these are under the glass and occurred in the making.

I have spent hours trying to find the mark that is on this bowl and I only found one other piece with this mark dated 1910. I believe that this bowl is from the 1920's or 1930's. "The Heinrich & Company was in Selb, Germany. Franz Heinrich established this factory in 1896."

I did find several other oval covered vegetable bowls made by HEINRICH, H & Co. that are the exact same shape. They ranged in price from $129 to $259. I am including the links below so that you can see these bowls. You will have to copy the links into a new search page and then look down the page for the oval covered vegetable bowl.

Please note*** We are in the process of letting go of family treasures. We would love to send these treasures to new loving homes. Please check back as we have many boxes to sort through. Your patience is appreciated.
