Vintage Durabilt Folding Utility Iron - Circa 1938

Light weight and easy to store the Durabilt Folding Utility Iron was the perfect solution to those heavy cumbersome SAD irons that our great grandmothers had to deal with. This particular model from around 1938 features a wood handle in perfect condition, five heat settings, a plate to keep the iron in a standing position and, of course, the foldable handle with an easy-to-use latch system. This iron remains in great condition with some scratching to the surface of the iron and some pitting on the upper part of the chrome. There is a little bit of rust on the prongs, but it heats up quite nicely. The detachable 6-foot cord remains in excellent usable condition.

Dimensions: 8-1/2" tall in standing position (4-3/4" lying down position) x 4" wide. Weight is 2.8 pounds.
