RESERVED FOR BRIDGING
This was quite a find when I was in Tangier, Morocco. A beautiful old Berber silver container bottle for kohl (a kind of eye-liner), with a silver and I think bone applicator that unscrews from the top. I believe it would have been worn around a woman's neck as a decorative but useful ornament. An very unusual and rare piece!

The silver has lovely patterning and is inset with burnished golden orange/brown – probably copal (often referred to in Morocco as ‘amber’). In great condition, it would look wonderful on a heavy silver chain or perhaps just hanging somewhere at home as a beautiful and interesting decoration.

The piece measures 8.5 cm (3.4 inches) long, excluding the chain.
