The detail is amazing on this 1970s hand tooled leather trivet. A popular trade for the Mayan people, leather goods were, and still are, exported to the US. This 7.75" round .25" thick trivet depicts what looks like some form of ceremony or worship. It's in great condition, with only minor signs of wear and age, and it still smells like leather. The workmanship is truly profound and would be a stellar addition to any Mayan art collection or vintage kitchen.
