"A #2 pencil and a dream can take you anywhere." - Joyce A. Myers

Boston pencil sharpeners have remained useful pieces of machinery for years, and this one is no exception. With a little research, we were able to determine that this great manual Boston Model L pencil sharpener dates to the 1950s or earlier!

An original sticker on the pencil sharpener reads "Omaha Stationery Co., Office Supplies, Phone JA. 0805, JA. 0806, 307 South 17th St., Omaha, Neb." Omaha's Jackson exchange serviced the downtown area for many years. We know this item is pre-1960 because 1960 is when Omaha changed to an all-numeric phone numbering system.

Overall, this is a great old piece that still works and has great patina. It is constructed of metal with a wood handle (painted gray) and measures approximately 4" x 5" x 2.5".
