This little pair of boxing gloves has taken a pounding and probably gave one out, too. Clearly marked Penco 224/13 on the cuff, they are brown leather with white cotton laces. The leather is still beautiful even though it has cracks and is flaking. These smaller size boxing gloves are difficult to find and are as adorable as vintage leather can be. There are currently no vintage Penco items on any sites as reference, but I did discover that Penco was a trademark of the J.C. Penney Company issued in 1929 and used through 1992 for boxing gloves and other sporting goods.

These would be great decor for a man cave, a gameroom, a boy's room or any area where sports decor can be displayed. Please, just display them. My little brother got boxing gloves one Christmas. It didn't end well, but it ended quickly. Laced 'em up on Christmas Eve and they got put away forever. Don't ask. I apologized.
