A 2 3/4" tall DEEP PURPLE colored glass rectangular-shaped ANTIQUE drug store / apothecary / pharmacy bottle.

This is a very early hand Blown In Mold bottle, dating it over 100 years, back to the 1800's.

Bottle in good condition, it has content haze / residue, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.

This bottle would of originally been a prescription drug store bottle. Similar to today, when a physician gives you a prescription and you take it to a drug store to get it filled, this is how it would of been, but 100 + years ago with this bottle. The prescription would be taken to an apothecary shop and the preparation would of been compounded right then and there by the pharmacist.

This bottle has been exposed to a high heat/light source to enrich the purple color that would naturally occur if exposed to sun light for a prolonged period of time. With few exceptions, only clear glass from before 1914 will turn sun-colored-amethyst. Not only does this deep purple/amethyst color make it a great looking bottle, but it also authenticates it as being truly antique!

Miniature tiny 1/2 oz. Antique DEEP PURPLE APOTHECARY bottle, over 100 years old.
