Here is one of my favourite bathroom products! It's a daily face wash that is mild and nourishing and can be used by ladies and gents of all skin types. It's gentle enough for peeps with acne but still scrubby enough to remove dead skin cells and improve circulation.

Each jar of Wash yr Face contains 2.5 oz of powder.

How to use it: Pour about 1 tsp of powder into a little bowl. Mix just enough water to make a nice paste. OR you could put about 1 or 2 weeks' worth of powder into a small jar and add enough honey to make a thick paste. Then add just a tiiiiiiny bit of distilled water to make it smooth. Slather the paste on and either leave it on to dry like a mask, or you can just wash it off. Have fun!! I certainly do :)

Kaolin Clay - Kaolin is known as the mildest of all clays, especially suitable for people with sensitive skin. It helps stimulate circulation to the skin while gently exfoliating and cleansing. It doesn't draw oils from the skin, so that's great news for people with dry skin! Kaolin clay is high in calcium, zinc and magnesium, which are beneficial for oily and acne-prone skin. It's mildly drying and disinfecting powers help heal existing blemishes and inflammations, and help to prevent new ones from forming. Huzzah!

Oats - Oats are quite a marvelous thing! They are high in calcium, iron, phosphorus, the vitamin B complex, vitamins E, G and K, are a source of potassium, vitamin A, amino acids and so many other things. Apart from being pretty great for your health (helps in strengthening bones, nourishing your nervous system, lowering cholesterol, etc.), it leaves the skin feeling nourished, cleansed and softened. It helps as an itch reliever and is great for those with flaky or dry skin.

Rose Petals - Apart from smelling divine and looking beautiful, roses have played a huge role in skin care throughout history. Rose water and rose essential oil are the favoured products extracted from rose, but the petals are also pretty awesome. One of the best things about rose is its ability to balance the skin. It has astringent and anti-bacterial properties, but doesn't rob the skin of moisture. Instead, it helps to regulate sebum, the skin's natural barrier and lubricant. What a lovely flower!

Lavender Flowers - Lavender is another one of those amazing flowers. Everyone knows it's one of the most relaxing and stress-reducing herbs around, and the scent is hypnotising. Lavender is known to rejuvenate skin cells and has hydrating properties that leave your skin feeling fresh and revitalised. It is used as a tonic for all skin types. Lavender helps to soothe sunburns and works well in the treatment of acne, eczema, dermatitis, fungus and burns as well. Massaging lavender essential oil for a few weeks on a healed wound may reduce scar tissue.

Himalayan Pink Salt - This is a pure, hand-mined salt that is derived from ancient sea salt deposits and is believed to be the purest form of salt available. It is rich in more than 84 minerals and trace elements, such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper and iron. Himalayan salt stimulates circulation, removes toxins from the body, soothes sore muscles, lowers blood pressure, relaxes the body, and can aid in the relief of arthritis, skin rashes, psoriasis and herpes. Not only is it good for external use, it's even better if you eat it! If you consume it regularly (my friend puts a tad in her drinking water), it provides you with essential elements, trace minerals, balances electrolytes, helps you absorb proper nutrients from other food sources, eliminates toxins, and balances the body's pH. It's the only salt I use for noshin' or washin'!

I use as many organic ingredients as I can find, and all the herbs have either been responsibly wildcrafted or sustainably and ethically grown. At the moment I don't have a garden so I'm not able to grow my own herbs yet, which I dream about every day! The images I use on the fronts of my products are all carefully selected and hand-chopped out of olde books that I find here and there. I know I know, it's scary and sad to cut into an olde book! But I always look online to see if I can find other copies of the books before I deface them (and if I can't find other copies, they go into my collection!). The ingredients labels are printed on vintage paper. When my supply runs out, more vintage paper I shall find!
