This is a facsimile of a sketch drawing of a vine and its fruits. It was drawn by Frei Cristovao de Lisboa in Maranhao (Brazil) while he was there as a missionary (1625-1631). The authors of the facsimile edition have not identified the plant depicted in this art print. (I am not an expert but it looks like a Passion flower to me). The original are drawings in pencil and covered in ink.

Size: approx. 9" by 12"

In excellent condition. It is printed on thick paper. The uneven borders and darker areas that you see are in the original drawing that is reproduced in this vintage facsimile.

This is the actual page from a 1967 book, not a reproduction.
