Manufacturer: George Wostenholm & Sons
Origin: Sheffield, England
Blade: High Carbon Steel, Hollow Ground, 4/8
Date of production: 1848 - 1978

This straight razor is a 4/8, round point, made in Sheffield, England by George Wostenholm and Sons. It has black celluloid scales, brass pins, and a very grippy, curved shank.

This brand is among my favorite shavers. Zippy, effective and smooth, and excellent at shaping facial hair. Very little wear on the spine and edge, an excellent everyday shaver. The quality of the stamp and etching is nice, and a fine example of this model.

With proper care, this high-carbon, hollow ground, steel blade will last a lifetime.

This blade comes professionally honed, polished, and cleaned. I've honed this blade up to a 12,000 grit stone, having passed the high-standard shave test. After the shave test, the blade is washed with soap and warm water, bathed in disinfecting Barbacide, and bathed in 90% isopropyl alcohol. To prevent rust, it is thinly coated in antibacterial paraffin.

My goal is to get folks settled in a straight razor shaving. If you're not 100% happy with the razor just send me a message.

Also included is a shaving guide to give storage/care tips, and shaving advice.
