I was excited and nervous to finally cut this soap that had been in the works for a while. Tiffany over @daisyfarmcrafts had encouraged me to take a shot at mimicking one of her most popular blue gingham baby blankets. Here is the final result...not perfect but beautiful! This scent is a classic and loved essence of baby powder.
On our family mini farm we set out to recapture the art of custom soap making by using natural ingredients made with care in small batches. Ingredients include goats milk, olive, coconut and palm oils, essential and fragrance oils for scent and colorants mixed into sweet almond oil. My favorite part of soap making is the design element-I LOVE to mix fragrances and colors to create something very special.
There are so many benefits to using Goat's Milk Soap on your skin! Not only is it soothing and moisturizing but it also:
1) DELAYS SIGNS OF SKIN AGING due to its high content of alpha0hydroxy acids such as lactic acid. Alpha -hydroxy acids break down dead skin cells bonds, removing dead skin cells from the skins surface and leaving behind new cells on the surface that appear smoother and more youthful.
2) ANTI-INFLAMMATORY PROPERTIES-Goat's milk reduces skin inflammation due to its fat molecule content. The cream present in goat's milk is a moisturizer, soothing dry and damaged skin, possessing an anti-inflammatory effect.
3) LOADED WITH ESSENTIALS-Goat's milk is packed full of essential nutrients and vitamins like vitamin D, C, B1, B6, B12, and E, that feed the skin and are absorbed into the body.
4) TREATS ACNE-Studies now show that goat's milk is effective for treating acne and other skin conditions. This is primarily because goat's milk has anti-bacterial properties that delay the growth of microbial organisms that spur the spread of acne.
