This roving was inspired by cotton candy. Cotton candy at the fair is such a treat and I can never resist the fluffy candy. The colors of this roving include bright pink, several shades of lighter pink and a touch of white.

Here is a listing for a 4 ounce handpainted Merino wool roving. All of my rovings are handpainted by me and I use these rovings to spin my yarn. I dye all of my fiber using Eco-Friendly dyes and I set the color with steam and Citric Acid. I carefully mix all of my colors to create the colorways you see.

Fiber: 100% Merino Wool
Weight: 4 Ounce
Staple length: Approximately 3 inches or better.

Merino wool derives from Spain. The Spanish crossed their ewes with rams from Africa in the twelfth and thirteenth century. This cross created an amazing fine-wool sheep that was not exported out of Spain until the 1700's. In the early 1800's Merinos were exported to North America. Today Merino wool is the best known wool on the market. It is known for its soft feel and can be worn next to the skin.

All of the rovings from Little Libellule are created in a SMOKE-FREE, but pet friendly home.
