Here is a fun Vintage Towel featuring a waitress showing off her very best dessert to the Chef.

Looks like the waitress made some sort of pudding pie with cherries and a garnish and plated it up for patrons to enjoy.

The male chef or perhaps her boss looks so surprised and delighted.

In back of this twosome is the kitchen with some shelving and cabinets over flowing with colorful plates, pots. pitchers and pans that every well stocked kitchen needs to have.

The waitress has on a green uniform or dress, a striped red apron and her very 50's or 60's luncheonette restaurant cap on her head.
She must have opted not to go with the sensible shoes and is wearing her pumps instead.

The male chef has blue pants on with a red checkered shirt adorned with a blue collar. He is also wearing a grayish colored apron to keep his clothes neat and tidy And he has a chef's puffy hat on his head.
So while he may be "the" chef, I think the waitress takes the cake with her presentation.

On the other end of the towel, there is a variety of items from the kitchen which I believe are the following
rice pudding with cherries, pineapple, coffee or tea pot, cherry or radish, glass of water or wine, fruit, tea or coffee cup. celery stack and a tall glass of ice tea with a mint leaf.

There is a nice thick and thin border that runs around this towel.

This vintage towel may be made of cotton or perhaps it is a blend, I am not sure.

By the looks of the this towel, I believe it is from the 1950's or thereabouts.

Here are the measurements
It is about 27 inches long by about 14 inches across.
All measurements are approximate.

The color red on this towel is like an reddish orange.

The background color of the towel is more of an ivory shade than a white color. When I used different camera settings to get detail, it altered the background color to look white in some pictures. Noted for accuracy.

Please see all the pictures for better detail. Double click the zoom image to enlarge pictures.

The coin in the photograph is for reference or scale only and is not part of listing.

Condition
No box.
No bad smells or odors..
The towel has creases, fold lines and wrinkles from being stored over the years by the previous owner.
There are some loose threads and uneven edges to be noted.
There is some color transfer or bleeding to note.
There is some storage or age stains scattered about on the towel.
Some rub to the colors from stacking.
I see some snags in the fabric.

I have not laundered nor ironed this item and will leave that up to the new owner should they so desire.
