This African tribal jewelry is inspired by the famous African sunset dipping into the Ocean. The chunky handmade jewelry is rich in its composition of beads. We played with different shades of orange and brown beads known as Maasai beads .This handmade beaded necklace is an eclectic mix of recycled West African glass beads.
An African necklace that encompasses of antique red agate stones which are associated with royalty and grace. Some of the Maasai beads are separated by brass and copper rings popularly called Giriama, a local Kenyan tribe. These beads are interspersed with Giriama rings to add aesthetic value and a refined feel. Touches of Ethiopian brass beads, clay beads and coffee beads are added for aesthetics. The beautifully crafted brass beads are made from the lost wax method in Ghana. The handmade necklace is signed off with famous Kenyan glass beads known as Kitengela Glass beads. It is a piece that requires an intricate balance of beads so as to achieve symmetry.
An African necklace that has a rich legacy.
The clasp is made from brass metal gauge 17,i have added two rings at the back to enable one to adjust the length by hooking it on any of the rings.
The necklace is 8.5 inches long from the nape of the neck.
