A thangka serves as an important teaching tools depicting the life of the Buddhas and bodhisattvas.
perhaps most importantly, religious art is used as a meditation tool to help bring one further down the path to enlightenment.
The Vajrayana Buddhist practitioner uses a thangka image of their yidam, or meditation deity, as a guide, by visualizing “themselves as being that deity, thereby internalizing the Buddha qualities within.

Silk Thangks are made to be durable however they should not be hung in direct sunlight, thangkas are not to be washed and require a special technique to remove marks please contact me regarding this. If after storage your thangka has creases a gentle iron with a protective towel between the iron and thangka is recommended, please use low settings and be cautious.
