This vintage bronze teapot from India must be an almost antique, as no one would use such a heavy, bronze serving pot in today's practical life style, even in India.

Weight: 7 pounds(I thought it was even heavier)

Size: 11" inches high x 11" inches wide including the handle and spout
pot is 22" inches in circumference

It has a lovely patina which my digital images are unable to capture either inside or outside. Sigh. At least you won't be disappointed when you actually see it. And wonderful "bidri" work, which I believe is the correct word for carving on metal by scratching it with a fine knife.

Condition is excellent, with no known holes. It will hold water, so it can always be used as a vase. The lion's head casting on both the handle and spout make it a noble samovar, as lions are a symbol of royalty.

A collector's treasure. And Valentine's Day is just around the corner.

For international shipping, please email the Old Silk Route, as it will be probably prohibitive due to its weight to ship internationally.
