I created this pattern for my own children in 2008. I loved the canopies that I had been seeing all over, but was not impressed with how well they did not stay in place. Any breeze would shift the canopy and leave your baby open to the elements, not to mention how dirty they got from dragging on the ground anytime your babies seat was set down. To solve that problem I decided to use elastic on the bottom to create a fitted effect for the canopy. Now it doesn't shift or drag and your baby is always covered.

To make this pattern even better, I created an optional "viewing window" through which you could check on your baby without having to lift the entire canopy up.

This canopy includes instructions on how to make a fully lined fitted car seat canopy. With optional viewing window and flap instructions as well as bow tying instructions for decorative options.

Some of the materials needed include:
82" of pretty fabric and 82" of lining fabric
optional magnetic strips for closing the flap on your viewing window
48" elastic

The pattern pieces are separated into many pages so this pattern does require taping and cutting of paper to get the finished pattern pieces.
