The hand mixer works by pressing down on the handle and then allowing the handle to return to its starting position. You do this repeatedly until your product is mixed! A cool design that reminds me of the large metal tops I had as a child. Push up and down on the handle sticking out of the top to make it spin.

The metal part on the handle has "Prov. Pat. 8135" and "MADE IN ENGLAND" stamped on it. The handle is painted red but has chipped over the many years.

Approximate size is 11" long, metal whisk is approx. 2 1/2" wide, handle is approx. 1" wide.

A great gift or addition to your collection of vintage kitchen items.
