A pair of vintage 1930s Maine postcards, used, with illustrated scenes of the summer tourist destination of Rockland ME Samoset Hotel and pool, Tichnor Quality views.

One card is a full color illustration of the Samoset Swimming Pool, Rockland, ME. This card is marked "Tichnor Quality Views" and was published by Huston & Tuttle CO. Rockland, ME.

The second card is of a full color illustration of the Samoset Hotel, Rockland, ME. The publisher on this card is not marked, but it appears to be the same as the first.

Both cards are used and the correspondence has been written by the same individual, "Mil". See photos #4 and #5 above for the details of the writing and the postmark, dated 1937 on each. Also each contains a 1 cent stamp that is in pristine condition.

Each card is 5.5" x 3.5" or 14 cm x 8.9 cm

Condition: Although used, they are in extremely excellent condition. The hotel card is in slightly better condition than the pool card, because the corners are slightly bent and worn on the pool card and the underside in yellowed.

This item will be kept safe in a sealed archival sleeve, shipped inside a flat, unbendable mailer!
