Beautiful depth to the bold carving on this mid century teak tray. Vintage hand carved wooden serving tray of Scandinavian or Russian origin. Folk art style, large size.

A particularly nice example of carved wood folk art, the beautiful carving work extends around the lip of this tray, culminating in stylized floral and leaf design at each end, forming a handle. The tray itself has a plank form, nice and smooth; a single piece of wood carved to make this practical piece rich with character.

The tray overall measures over 20" long, and just under 10" wide. It looks great as a dining table centerpiece with a bowl of flowers or a candle stick on it. It is also a perfect size for a breakfast tray or to carry your evening meal to the deck. It can serve as a dresser-top catch all organizer, or hold magazines on your coffee table.

Rich red-honey teak coloring to suit your more minimal modernist style, or to add a little sweet folk art flare to your space. The condition is very good, with some superficial wear and signs of age: there are light scratches, marks, dusty nooks, and a lightly worn corner, but no cracks or warping - it is an absolute stunner.
