The Granny Go Round cardigan is the sister pattern of the popular Granny Go Round Jumper!
A top down, raglan cardigan worked in Granny stitch with DK yarn to keep you snug through the cool summer nights and winter months. It has a cropped body and sleeves but these can easily be lengthened, or keep it cropped for a fun, festival-ready bomber jacket!
You can use any DK yarn providing the gauge is met. The pattern uses Hayfield Bonus DK which is quite a thick DK yarn, so bear this in mind when substituting yarns.
The pattern is written in UK crochet terms and is intermediate level. The yoke requires some concentration but the body and sleeves are super straightforward. You’ll need a 4mm hook & 5 x 20mm buttons or toggles.

M: Actual bust: 92-96cm - garment width: 52cm

love this cardigan! the pattern was slightly confusing at the beginning as this was my first attempt at a top-down/raglan style pattern, but was very easy to understand. i love the look and ended up adding a taper to the sleeve by using the decrease method from the shoulders. i’m very happy with how it turned out and will definitely make it again!

I enjoyed making it. It was a little tricky to understand the first few rows but I figured it out in the end. I made a size small but found it too big around the neckline. I like my cardigans to sit up close to the neck, not halfway along the shoulders. I took it in a fare amount with extra decreasing on the neckband but still not enough. It is a sweet cardigan and I’ll wear it. I’ll make another a size smaller and see if that helps.
