A set of three old shabby chic style black cases. These great old suitcases really have character!! They were found together at an estate sale in South Carolina. The largest bag has an American Railway Express shipping label on it. American Railway Express was created in 1917 when the government took over the rails because of the war. It was ended in 1929 and the named changed. The bag was shipped to Aroma Park Ill. The large trunk style bag has the leather??, covering and cardboard frame and metal corners and hooks. It measures 28" X 14" X 8". It is in usable condition for a display item or storage. The inside paper lining is torn but clean. It has lots of wear. The next bag is the sturdiest, it measures 16" X 9" X 6". It may have been a case for a camera or other item. It has several compartments for holding items. It has a nice leather handle and black leather??, covering. The smallest bag measures 10" X 14" X 5" it also has a leather handle and a single metal hook closure. It has cloth interior that is torn and aged but surprizing not musty. It also is very worn.
