This is a really interesting wool roving for new and old spinners. Portuguese Merino started out hundreds of years ago as merino and about a hundred years ago was crossed with Rambouillet from France. It has resulted in a 25 micron, 2-3" fiber that is squishy and bouncy. When spun it will give you excellent stitch definition in your knitting. It is also VERY easy to spin straight from the top with no fiber prep... just get the correct end. Remember to look for the a & b if you want 8 oz for a larger project.
