Handwoven grass place mats.
Beatiful grass place mats ideal to use as placemats, hot dish mats or just for decoration.
Each slightly different and unique as it is done by a different women in the Nkuringo community. All items colours are achieved by using natural dyeing producsts like ashes, leaves or berries.
Dimensions around 27-30cm diameter.
Creation of Nkuringo Weavers, members of Nkuringo community, on the edge of Bwindi National Park, Uganda.
By buying this product you are supporting local families, who have seen their income from tourism plummet dramatically from covid pandemic, and subsequently the effort to protect the endangered mountain gorillas of Bwindi National Park.
The price of this product goes entirerely to pay the women who produced the product, and the shipping cost to send it from Nkuringo to your home.
