Dear Lucille - Short and Sweet Vintage postcard covers - mini-journal trio - home decor

Sometimes when you give things a second or third look, some history or a story emerges. I have had these postcards for some time now and never took a good look at the backs. Upon closer inspection a little picture emerges:

All three postcards sent to the same woman. The postcard writer is unknown.

They contain three very succinct messages, paying attention to the dates and places and messages we can take a peek someone's story.

May 1947, Frankfurt IN:
"won't be long now"

May 1947 Indianapolis, IN
"Have quit and gone into business in Indianapolis."

Sept 1950 Terre Haute, IN:
"What do you mean, come back out there?

Alas, we will never know what became of the postcard writer, but filling in the blanks yourself is more fun, isn't it?

These are made from true blue vintage postcards. They show wear, tear and discoloration due to age. These are a bit delicate at the spine due to their age, so beware that they may crack with repeated openings. Due to this fact, I would consider these more of a home decor item or conversation piece. But that is your choice. Please contact me with any questions!
