The skycap lifted the stylish butterscotch yellow suitcase onto the luggage cart and gave the petite brunette a claim ticket and tipped his hat to her, "Have a nice flight miss."

She pulled a couple of dollars from her purse and slipped them into the skycap's hand.

"Why thank-you young miss."

Melody Gunther turned and stepped through the airport terminal door and made her way to the TWA ticket counter. She was practically skipping to the counter, her giddy excitement barely restrained. This was Melody's first international trip--her grandfather had given her a trip to Paris as a college graduation gift. A dream come true, ten days in the City of Light.

"Next," the TWA clerk called out.

Startled, Melody fumbled her tickets and passport and they launched into the air, fluttering to the floor in opposite directions.

A handsome young man in a dark blue suit immediately came to her rescue, scrambling around to retrieve her paperwork. He turned to return the items to the embarrassed owner, "Melody?".

"Jack?" Melody said, her cheeks flushed.

It was Jack Thomas. He'd been in just about every one of her economics classes back at N.Y.U. but they had never really connected.

"Thank-you...are you going to Paris too?" She said as she nervously retrieved her travel papers him.

"Yes, it's a graduation gift from my Grandfather. You know, come to think of it, I think he may know your Grandfather." Jack said, staring deeply into Melody's green eyes.

Here's a cute Samsonite Silhouette suitcase in a beautiful buttery yellow. This hard-case piece of luggage is 22" X 16.5" X 15.5" and weighs in at a little over 7lbs. The interior is lined in matching yellow fabric with a subtle polka-dot pattern. It has a divider with one large elastic pocket. This suitcase lays flat when opened. We are dating this USA made suitcase to the 1960s.

The exterior of this suitcase is in very good vintage condition with only a few small travel scuffs but no major scratches, dents or stains. The latches work well (no key included) and the case shuts tight. On the handle we found a small chunk of plastic broken off but it does not affect its integrity of operation. The interior is also in good condition with no major damage or foul odors. There are some small light stains and we noticed a 2.5" tear on the divider (at the base where it hinges.) We also found that the fabric lining inside the lid although firmly attached at sides, is sagging out somewhat--not a major issue but we wanted to mention it.
