This antique book entitled, The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, was translated by Edward Fitzgerald, an English poet. There is no date of publication found in the book but it was published by Thomas H. Crowell book in New York. It seems to be an old reproduction of the later editions of the poem. It contains 48 pages of text and no illustrations. The photos are of the front cover, the back cover, a tear, the title page, and the first page. The cover is suede and has a leaf and floral Art Nouveau design with gilt flowers and accents. The book is tightly bound and all pages are intact and unmarked. On the inside cover, there are tears and numbers written in pencil “12.50,” “11/36,” and “341.”

The book's dimensions are: 7.25 x 4.6 x 0.25 inches. The cover design is gorgeous and detailed. And I have not been able to find anything online that is similar to this suede Art Nouveau book. It seems to be a fifth edition version of the text.

Please inquire if you would like to ship this book outside of the United States or if you would like more photos.
