The Almost Christian Discovered; or False Professor Tried and Cast by Rev, Matthew Mead - Published by Sheldon, Blakeman & Co - 1856

Being the Substance of Seven Sermons, Preached at St. Sepulchre's, in London, 1661. This is a rare book from a rare publisher. William R. Williams writes the introduction to this classic Puritan work which addresses the issue of antinomianism. Matthew Mead insists that one cannot have the benefits of salvation without the obligations to upright character and moral living.

There is obvious shelf wear to the covers and spine. You will find, bumped corners, rubbed edges, scuffs, stains, and faded print. The pages have become subject to foxing and discoloration from age. The binding is good and there are no loose or missing pages.
