Astarte is the Greek name of a goddess known throughout the Eastern Mediterranean from the Bronze Age to Classical times. It is one of a number of names associated with the chief goddess or female divinity of those peoples. Astarte was connected with fertility, sexuality, and war.

------

A cluster charm of various vintage objects all with the feeling of feminine grace- with just a touch of the warrior. Elements include a large blister pearl, a mother of pearl pendant, Kuchi charm with 18k gold leaf, a reclaimed metal drop and hammered bangle stick. Hung on raw brass loops mounted under a lampwork headpin by Numinosity, strung with wood, bone and glass beads. Brass snake chain with distressed white and brass chain extender gives the necklace an adjustable length from 17 to 19 inches. Pendant drops almost 3 inches.

All my work is made from recycled, reclaimed, vintage, antique and salvaged material- as little as possible is new. I use new wire and findings (for hygiene purposes) and the occasional new bought crystal, which I try to source responsibly. Every piece is one of a kind- there are times when I may be able to make something similar, you are welcome to convo me and see what can be done.
