This necklace features a lampwork bead with a tree in beautiful greens and blues hung from a swingy knotted macrame cord punctuated with glass beads. I made this piece for the Beads of Courage Design Challenge using a bead inspired by a 16 year old Beads of Courage member. The lampwork focal was made by artist Robert Simmons, Ph.D.

The necklace strap is 18" long and is easy to wear - no clasp to deal with! The focal bead is over 1.25" long and there's another 1.5" of bead fringe below it. No pattern to the beads on this one - I just let them take me where they wanted. That's life:)
