Weathered raw-edged dark brown leather & vintage lace unite in an unplanned fashion on my hard covers. The lace on my cover peaks through brightly as it is backed by a piece of thin orange leather.

Open me up, and you’ll find I begin & end with decorative paper featuring the Gregorian chant. This beautiful Italian-made paper has been hand aged to fit my overall persona. On my first page, you’ll be greeted with three vintage French postage stamps in faded orange, adorned with airmail-themed vintage ink stamps.

In between, I am filled with 100 sheets (200 pages counting both sides) of 140gsm drawing & sketching paper made in Germany by Hahnemühle. This double-sided paper is smooth for ink & matte for dry media. It is suitable for all drawing techniques, including pencil, charcoal, pen & ink. It will tolerate light washes without bleeding & has good eraser resistance.

Each of my sumptuous pages have been individually hand-torn, richly stained with tea & pressed before being Coptic stitched with brown archival linen thread. This style of exposed binding allows me to lay flat when in use.

When you are not using me, I’ll protect your creations with my double leather wrap tie, which simply tucks up on my back & secures with two dark brown wooden beads and one red wooden bead.

Measuring 5 ½ x 4 inches with a 1 ½ inch thick spine, I’m a stylish piece of Bibliographica journalry eagerly awaiting the scratch of a pen...
