The lighter yarn is one I spun from superwash merino and bright and shiny trilobal nylon (70/30) fibre that I had dyed in a light grey with touches of gold and purple. The dark eggplant is a commercial sock yarn that I dyed to be a contrast. I've woven the two together into this simple log cabin pattern. Needless to say, it's one of a kind.
This is 7.5" wide (19cm) and 66" long (167cm) not including the 4.5" (11cm) twisted fringe. Both the yarns are superwash so it would make an ideal gift for someone who has a history of mistreating wool. If it were mine I'd still wash it as wool, dry it flat and press it while still damp.
