"....
And I fell in love with the Tinker Man....

I spied on him every Tuesday, under the trees.
He whittled and spit and took deep swigs from his beer.
He never once looked me in the eyes,
but I wanted him to.
I would hum and play hopscotch, sing, talk to the birds...
Make all kinds of racket.
He never once looked up at me....

But I looked at him."

"And I heard them then.

The Spirits Laughing"

Artwork and words (c) Singleton

A little tribute to the Tinker Man and all his magic. An evil eye to watch out for me, you, all of us. Dangle it over a doorway, in the kitchen window, inside the peak of your tent. Little charms, and shells, and bells rattle and dance in the wind....all the while, watching over us. Hand drawn on old fabric, and stitched together on a Magical Sunday. Elastic cording for hanging. Not recommended for rainstorms or sunstorms.....
