Fabulous old signet ring, married to a brass compass from France. The compass has a beveled glass front. The compass still moves freely. The interior of the ring is marked 10k and has a maker's mark of an A in a circle.

Currently size 8.25. The ring has an adjustable fit but a half size up or down is probably the most you would want to bend the gold. . This seems to be a modification.

The diameter of the compass is about 5/8 of an inch with a depth of just over 1/8 of an inch. Weight is 5.5 grams.

The shoulders of the rings have traces of engraving still visible. Solder is also visible. Surface wear to the metal and to the glass. The glass has fine debris on the interior surface. The compass is marked France and is delightfully discolored.

The gold has a rosy hue.

Please Note: The compass is not waterproof! This ring should be kept dry. Thank you.
