So, who is The Blue Lady? Is she a ghost roaming the dark corridors of the castle, or a mysterious recluse? My guess is that she’s a part of that dark and frightening coven of witches that are kept in secret in the highest towers and deepest dungeons of the castle. The assassins and curse casters, poisoners and creepy spell workers.

The Blue Lady wears a very impressive trailing gown of very dark navy trimmed with matching lace and ribbon. Her tiny puffed lace sleeves add a pretty little touch, and she’s posed just floating alone the dark corridors of the castle.

If you’d like more information about how and why I create my dolls you can find it here on my blog - http://natashamorganartdolls.blogspot.com

She weighs approx. 20g, and is 12cm tall.
She will be delivered to you securely packaged and gift wrapped; ready to give as a gift, or just because it’s always nice to receive nice parcels.

I hand make my dolls to be reminiscent of the stunning old and ancient dolls you find inside glass cases at museums, and these little peg dolls have a strong connection to my childhood. I’ll always remember being given tactile wooden dolly pegs to play with as a child. And snuffling out oddments and scraps to dress the dolls I made from them, always with a hand draw face and shoes done in markers and color pencil. The heads of these dolls I’ve sculpted from paperclay, and with care they will last for generations. I hand sew each layer of clothing, and they have vintage thread joints, making it possible to pose the arms in any way you would like. Because they are after all a peg, these dolls will clip onto the edges of books, teacups, storage jars, vases, your Christmas tree – Just about anywhere you can think of.

I love to learn about the hidden women from our past that we rarely hear about, the ones that give us a true picture of how people were treated. I’m always inspired by the lives they led and what they achieved, every one of them finding beauty in the darker aspects of the past that have led to our modern understanding of the world: A true glimpse of history. To try and make sense of the hectic busy lives we lead we all need a little beauty to come home to. And the histories of women that we don’t tend to hear about, out of the mainstream, can really tell us a lot about ourselves in an amazingly positive way.

All my work is unique and authentic, and is always supplied with signed and dated documents. I keep full records of each doll I produce, what inspired me, and when and how they were created. Every doll is individually handmade, and will not be re-created. So every doll has their own, unique, one-of-a-kind personality.
