book cover from 1935 up-cycled into a super sweet book purse

The cover of this edition of "An Old-Fashioned Girl" is the quintessential example of 'a picture worth a 1,000 words' -- I soooo love the expression on the little boy's face!
I lined the purse in a floral cotton print which picks up on the warm amber colors in the cover. The book itself is a soft moss color and is in good condition for a 75+ year old edition - but please note that there are definite signs of age and wear -- including a couple of dark stains on the back (but I know that someone will love it BECAUSE of them!).
The purse has a carefully matched interior pocket, antique gold-tone button closure and end-tips and wooden beaded handles.

8 1/2 X 5 1/2 X 1 1/2
exactly what an old-fashioned girl needs!
