This beautiful scarf was made using a variety of techniques- hand knitting, crochet, machine & hand embroidery, and felting. Made with a soft and comfortable silk and cotton tweed yarn.

A three season scarf- wear for Spring, Autumn, and Winter. Add some leafy goodness to your wardrobe!

The body of the scarf was knit using a 50% silk/50% cotton blend tweed yarn, it is constructed with the stockinette stitch and curls to form a soft tube. This yarn is very soft to the touch. Two additional strands of trim frame the scarf. Soft and organic, and in fresh spring-like colors and textures, these trims are crocheted mixes of various novelty yarns that conjure up the look of vine tendrils, twisting twine from bird's nests, and spring buds from tree branches.

The beautiful, delicate embroidered leaves are individually embroidered by me, and are inspired by real leaves. This scarf features a colorful mix of cyan, apple green, light turquoise, moss green, and sage green leaves. Leaves include: linden, tulip tree (yellow poplar), fairy bells, apple tree, Nymphaea (lily pad), bur oak, and features the flower-like leaves of the water plant Marsilea mutica (water clover). I create all my leaves myself- absolutely no embroidery machines, embroidery patterns, or anything of the sort are used! All leaves are made of 100% silk dupioni fabric. Felted wool berries of apple green and teal are placed at irregular intervals and are enclosed by a web-like embroidery.

Length: 86 inches (218.44 cm)

Made in a smoke-free environment with love and great attention to quality and detail. The edges of each leaf are treated with Dritz Fray Check to prevent Fraying.

Each scarf is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art. The photos you see here, are the photos of the exact scarf you will get! Care instructions will be included with each purchase.
