Great vintage Ingento No. 2 guillotine style paper cutter. This item was purchased from a teachers' estate. There were many classroom items there, but this one brought a smile to my face.

Made by Ideal School Supply in Chicago, IL. this is a design with function and durability in mind. The solid wood base is marked with a grid and edged at the top with a wooden 9" rule. The cutting arm appears to be cast, and is a brass color....although I am unsure if this is brass as it appears to be painted.

The No. 2 model is unique due to its compact size, making it a very convenient size for a desktop - or a workspace that is....let's say.....spacially challenged.

There are character marks, as would be expected with something of this age. Scratches, some paint missing from the cutting arm and a few dings on the cutting platform and a couple of places on the bottom of the unit, at the legs that have some pieces of the wood missing.

Overall, these are cosmetic faults, and the cutter is in working order.

Great for teachers, photographers and crafters.....or.......just because it is so awesome.

13 1/2" x 9 1/2" overall and a 9" x 9" surface and an 8" x 8"cutting table.
