Though Lily of the Valley are tiny little things, to me the strong blades of their leaves amidst the dainty white bells suggest a willful but delicate maiden. Someone fair, who thrives in the shade.

Part of my Flower Girls series created this Spring/Summer, these paintings hope to capture the elegance and liveliness of blooming things. They are inspired by my own garden and portraits from the 1930's and 1940's, as each variety of flower is "embodied" by a girl or lady, sitting for their portrait.

This borderless print measures 8"x10", and arrives ready to pop into any standard 8"x10" frame or matte.

Specifics:
The print is reproduced from a painting by me, Emily Martin. It is printed on a lovely matte Epson paper. I experimented with many different papers before I settled on this one:
It is archival,
water-resistant,
fade-resistant,
and has a beautiful richness!

My prints are made using Epson Pigment Inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade for at least 120+ years.

All prints are signed and dated by the artist, and arrive sealed in a cello sleeve and a protective stiff envelope.
