This stunning, unusual vase (form no. 40102/81166) was designed in 1969 by Josef Hospodka and manufactured in 1970s by Prachen glassoworks, near Novy Bor.

The vase was a part of a futuristic range featuring different forms decorated with impressed circular shapes. It has a geometric, angular yellow body contrasting with futuristic and nearly organic blue decoration.

This piece is highly collectible! As we learned on Mark Hill's website large examples of these vases are scarce.
