New Horizons Hand-Painted Stained Glass Panel

I created this stained glass panel with its message of hope for the future, at a time of uncertainty both for myself and the wider world. The art glass used offers a variety of different textures, from sparkly glass for the starry sky and green grass areas, to the undulating water glass used for the sea and darker sky, and the streaky sunset glass. I have also added kiln-fired handpainted details to the glass using a traditional technique used by craftsmen for hundreds of years.

The panel has then been assembled using strips of lead, which are soldered and cemented into place. Two copper hanging loops at the top allow the panel to be suspended using a black hanging chain and hook which can be purchased as an optional extra with the panel if required. Alternatively if preferred, you could place the panel in a stand (not included), or even have it incorporated as part of a window if you wished, since the edging allows more glass to be added.

Photographs can rarely do justice to stained glass, suffice it to say that the glowing colours of this glass panel really do provide a focal point to the room.
