This amazing vintage Taxco ring was made by Manuel Pedro Ortiz, who worked as a silversmith for William Spratling for many years. It is marked 925 STERLING TAXCO MEX JULY in a circle followed by initials MPO. Ring is substantial and weighs 9.5 grams.

The top of the ring has a stylized lily flower design and measures 1 5/8 inches by ¾ inches. Shank is approx. a size 5 1/2 on my ring mandrel and has a soldering line as shown in the photos; the ring is stable but I imagine eventually the shank will have to be reinforced. Please note that since the ring is very wide it will fit differently on the ring mandrel compared to the finger.
