The Antoinette is manufactured from slow-grown 5th Grade Scandinavian Redwood, widely regarded as one of the finest timbers available for outdoor furniture.

The colder Scandinavian climate produces timber with a tighter grain structure and greater density than faster-grown alternatives. This creates a stronger, more stable product with a beautiful natural appearance and excellent outdoor performance.

Every swing is carefully handcrafted and finished to showcase the attractive grain and character of the timber.

Up To 20 Years Rot Protection

Unlike many timber garden products that rely on regular painting or surface-applied treatments, the Antoinette is pressure treated to Hazard Class 4 (HC4), one of the highest standards of timber protection available.

This treatment penetrates deep into the timber fibres, protecting the wood from the inside out and providing up to 20 years of resistance against rot, decay and fungal attack.

The result is genuine long-term durability without the need for continual maintenance.

No Painting Required

The Antoinette does not require painting, staining or annual preservative treatments to maintain its rot-resistant properties.

Over time, the timber will naturally weather to an attractive silver-grey finish that complements both traditional and contemporary garden settings. This natural weathering process is purely cosmetic and does not affect the durability of the timber.

If preferred, the swing can be painted or stained at any time to suit your garden design, but this is entirely for appearance rather than protection.

For swings installed in particularly shaded or damp locations, an occasional jet wash every couple of years may be beneficial to remove surface algae and keep the timber looking its best.
