Kitschy Vintage Fruit and Veg Chalk Plaques-

This pair of chalk plaques look to be from the 1940's or 1950's. The expressions on their faces is priceless. So cheery and vintage. I'm not really sure what fruit or vegetables they are supposed to be, but they are super cute. Looks like one is a boy and one a girl. The boy is red, like a tomato, and the girl sort of looks like a turnip? Whatever they are, they are having a good time, and would brighten up your vintage inspired kitchen.

These are interesting because they have an iridescent, slightly metallic finish. They show signs of general use. Nicks here and there, and that homey patina that has developed from the decades. Both only contribute to their over all appeal and charm. The girl has one of her leaves broken off, but it's really not that noticeable, it is broken off at an angle towards the back, so is not that noticeable from the front. If you were so inclined you could touch up the edge with green paint and no one would be the wiser. These were hanging in Grandma's kitchen for a long time. Both could stand to be cleaned up, but I will leave that to the lucky buyer.

Each has a wire on the back for hanging.
