"Baby You're a Firework" by Katy Perry. The song was in my head the whole time I made this fun and fringey necklace. And there will be plenty of Oooo's and Ahhhh's wherever you wear this piece.

The Etsy Beadweavers Team's August Challenge is "Hot Hot Hot" and what's hotter than fireworks on the fourth of July in America! I'll admit that my favorite way to watch fireworks is on my big plasma TV in air-conditioned comfort! And watching the fireworks this year, I was inspired to create a celebration of fireworks in bead embroidery!

The centerpiece features a golden Swarovski Rivoli in the center with two HOT Volcano Swarovski Rivolis on the sides. Rows of beading with delicas and seed beads in matte dark red, semi matte tomato red, silver-lined matte ruby, and silver-lined dark orange with silver-lined yellow gold surround the rivolis with just a hint of blue. The fringe is an explosion of sparks from twisted silverlined yellow gold bugle beads, small crystals and tiny red sparkling charlottes in a lush coral or branch fringe.

The necklace is a beadwoven spiral rope about 24" long with a peyote loop and toggle closure. The centerpiece is 5.5" across with a 3.25" drop (including fringe). The centerpiece is backed with tan ultrasuede.
