These vintage YY Made in Japan chrysanthemum chawan rice bowls feature individually hand painted blossoms in yellow, pale pink and gold. YY Japanese porcelain was made in Japan for the Yonemoto Store then often shipped to Hong Kong for hand decoration of details before final shipment to Hawaii. Chrysanthemum flowers, or kiku, are signs of Fall in Japan. These bowls might have been used to serve rice or soup at a family dinner.

The bowls are sold as a set of three. All three bowls measure about 4.25"/10.795 cm across and slightly over 2"/5.08 cm high. They're in good vintage condition with slight wear along the gold rims, and on the bottom edges as seen in the photos.

We pack items carefully for shipping with partially recycled materials. In the US, the bowls will travel to you via USPS Parcel Post mail; elsewhere it will go by International First Class with insurance.
