There's a painterly feel to this bridge scene. I've walked across the 59th St./Queensborough bridge many times and there are so many ways to experience it, even from a great distance. I hacked my Canon with CHDK firmware so that I could play with high-dynamic range. This series was set with positive and negative adjustments to exposure, several exposures "stitched" together pixel by pixel with some fine adjustments. I removed the ghosting in some moving images, but left it in as interesting streaks of moving image, in others. This photo is a good example of what taking a walk on the FDR highway along the East River feels like to me. There's so much beauty and life on and near the East River. Printed on 8" x1 0" archival paper. Watermark does not appear on printed image. Signed on back by artist.
